Our client is seeking a Payment Posting Specialist responsible for accurately recording and applying daily financial transactions, maintaining efficient workflows, and supporting charge posting responsibilities as needed. The role aims to meet departmental productivity goals while ensuring high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
  • Record and apply daily financial transactions, including payments and adjustments, from various sources.
  • Follow departmental procedures for payment reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to maintain efficient turnaround times.
  • Provide support for charge posting responsibilities when needed.
  • Meet or exceed departmental productivity goals while maintaining accuracy.
  • Maintain an error rate within department standards.
  • Update patient demographic information to ensure accurate billing.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external phone calls.
  • Monitor and reply to emails professionally and promptly.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of medical payment posting experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume payment posting environment.
  • Basic Excel knowledge.
  • Preferred: NextGen experience and proficiency in Excel.

Additional Requirements
This position requires work from Monday to Friday with start times at 7am, 7:30am, or 8am. Training will be conducted at either 7am or 7:30am to align with the team's schedule.
