Job description

1. Assist Operators, Line Lead and Production Supervisor/Manager
2. Rotate when asked and where needed- no one is assigned to a specific area
3. Keep product straight on the boards
4. Load the product racks from the top to the bottom as per the company GMP's.
5. Keep an accurate count of the product racks that have been produced and staged in the retarder or proof box
6. Must be able and willing to train new hires
7. Make sure all paperwork is filled out accurately and completely
8. Transport product, waste, and ingredients to designated areas
9. Maintain a clean and safe work area (sweep and pick up trash)
10. Must be able to count

13. Know where emergency STOP, and START/STOP buttons are located
14. Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1.
15. Follow all company GMP procedures
16. Perform all special requests by the Production Supervisor or Line Lead
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires some physical strain such as long periods of standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting overhead. Must be able to lift approximately 35 - 50 pounds overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working around power equipment, slippery floors, and dusty areas. Very hot conditions during summer seasons. Protective clothing such as uniform, gloves and slip resistant shoes may be required.
Knowledge / Skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging and labeling.
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

EDUCATION & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, or packaging operations preferred
