Job description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Effectively communicates with employees from your own departments to ensure a team environment.
  • Makes process decisions and ensures product quality conforms with quality audit specifications.
  • Reads specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
  • Machine maintenance.
  • May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
  • Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper to prepare for shipping.
  • Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
  • Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
  • Sets next crew up for success and effectively and efficiently communicates at shift change to Operators and Supervisors.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Shift: 2-2-3 rotation between days and nights 

Work Environment 

  • Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision protection and other necessary PPE as required. 
  • May be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, inks, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  

  • This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. May need to get on and off equipment, stairs, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
