What's the role?

Official job title is Product Manager – Nodes and will be based in either Stockholm, Sweden or Dubai, UAE

The role is responsible for leading the development, management, and growth of the company's underwater node technology portfolio used in marine seismic acquisition. This individual will play a critical role in defining product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring that node solutions continue to meet the evolving operational and commercial requirements of customers in the energy and marine sectors.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, sales, and marketing teams to develop and execute product roadmaps, oversee the product lifecycle, and identify opportunities for technological advancement and market differentiation. The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that product development efforts align with market needs while supporting the company's strategic objectives and growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans for underwater node technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and market trends.
  • Conduct market research, customer engagement, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation, performance improvements, and portfolio expansion.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements, specifications, and feature enhancements in collaboration with engineering, software, and operations teams.
  • Lead the product development process from concept and requirements definition through testing, commercialization, and ongoing product optimization.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of new products and features while balancing performance, quality, reliability, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations and field teams to understand deployment challenges, operational requirements, and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and business development teams to develop product positioning, pricing strategies, value propositions, and go-to-market plans.
  • Support customer engagements by providing product expertise, conducting presentations, and participating in technical reviews, proposals, and tender responses.
  • Monitor product performance, customer satisfaction, market adoption, and financial results to identify opportunities for improvement and maximize product value.
  • Develop business cases for new product investments and technology enhancements, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and safety.
  • Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a market-leading node technology portfolio.
Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geophysics, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Physics, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the energy or marine technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of underwater seismic acquisition and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate ideas clearly.
  • Results-driven mindset with strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagement and product demonstrations
  • Possess certification to travel offshore on Company vessels.
