New Product Development Sourcing Leader

Job Summary

The New Product Development Sourcing Leader will lead supply chain efforts for new product development under the supervision of the Commodity Director in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. The position requires interaction with multiple functional areas within Array Technologies (Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, Quality Control, etc.) and our suppliers. This position must maintain a high level of integrity in the areas of supplier selection and program management. Positive communication with team members and management is imperative.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts to source new suppliers to support new products, initiate them in Approved Vendor List, obtain NDAs, and negotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Assist engineering in obtaining prototype parts.
  • Manage process of sending out RFQ’s, performing bid clarifications with suppliers, and providing bid tabs.
  • Coordinate communications between suppliers, engineering, and quality to confirm parts are designed for manufacturability.
  • Manage supplier(s) through tooling and qualification of new parts.
  • Manage cut-in of new parts with coordination between engineering, sales, product management, inventory, finance, and procurement.
  • Coordinate roll‑out of engineering changes of existing parts to suppliers, including obtaining updated pricing, managing issuance new drawings, monitoring status of qualification of parts, and managing cut‑in of revised parts.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or another related field.
  • 3-5 years of project management including procurement or supply chain.
  • Time management, scheduling, and supplier selection and relations experience.
  • Experience using an ERP and scheduling system.
  • Experience in handling the bidding process and cost negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detailed orientation, and interpersonal skills.

This position is onsite in our Chandler, AZ office. Relocation is not available for this role.

Preferred qualifications
  • 3-5 years of supply chain or procurement experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with SAP and MS Project.
  • Positively contribute and deliver results in a team‑oriented work environment.
  • Plan, organize, and communicate effectively to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Prepare reports and professional communication documents.
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations and business functions in a fast‑paced environment.
