About the Job
As a Software Engineer on the DevSecOps Platform Engineering team, you will design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native platforms that enable secure, reliable, and efficient application delivery across a large, regulated technology environment. You will work hands-on with Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives, contribute to DevOps transformation efforts, and collaborate strategically with engineering, security, and platform teams to enable self-service, resilient deployment platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) to support large-scale microservices deployments.
  • Lead DevOps and platform engineering initiatives, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps-based delivery models.
  • Design and enable end-to-end CI/CD workflows integrating infrastructure automation with GitHub Actions and GitOps pipelines.
  • Automate application and microservices deployments using Harness, achieving fully automated, repeatable, and auditable release processes.
  • Implement declarative configuration management and JSON/YAML-based pipelines to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Enable secure cloud platform delivery across Azure and Google Cloud Platform, aligning infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and security controls through code.
  • Embed DevSecOps practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation to improve visibility, governance, and MTTR.
  • Develop automation and tooling using Python to support CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows.
  • Establish centralized version tracking, release visibility, and deployment governance across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and platform teams to build self-service capabilities and improve developer experience.
  • Consult on complex, long-term software engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and regulatory controls.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions.
  • Experience building Java applications using Maven and/or Gradle.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) in production environments.
  • Experience implementing GitOps-based deployment models.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation and CI/CD integration.
  • Experience working in large-scale, regulated enterprises with strong governance and audit requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and consult on complex technical initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with deployment automation tools such as Harness.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
  • Exposure to AI or agentic automation frameworks.
  • Kubernetes and/or DevOps certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Information
  • This is a net-new position created due to increased workload.
  • The team supports DevSecOps automation for the full COO technology portfolio and will initially focus on CI/CD, deployment orchestration, and quality gates for selected applications.
  • Candidates should be able to align with local team onsite schedules.
