Job Description:
Maintenance Request Engineer (MRE) Role.
L3Harris is seeking a motivated individual looking for an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Network Engineer to support innovative network solutions. The selected candidate will be working on multiple programs and initiatives for L3Harris as the primary contractor. As a MRE Engineer, supporting deployment maintenance team activities required to implement equipment and services deliverables for the FTI Network.The selected candidate will collaborate with internal and external team and work independently on projects from start to finish.
  • This position is ONSITE and is located at L3Harris offices located in Melbourne, Florida.
  • This position requires the ABILITY to obtain FAA Public Trust.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience supporting any FTI Deployment Engineering team.
  • Experience working with minimal supervision with ability to lead in a team environment.
  • Project management skills capable of adhering to deadlines and completion of tasks per project schedule.
  • Ability to coordinate complex operations across multiple teams within the FTI Deployment.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Supports all members of FTI Implementation staff in reviewing Harris DICE artifacts (diagrams, MOPs and parts), field work orders (DCDs).
  • Possess strong technical aptitude with multiple FTI networking tools including but not limited to: MR tool, Harris DICE, ClearQuest, SSMT,FINs, Metasolv, PITs (Parts), Field Dispatch tool, OSS tool.
  • Interpret Engineering designs to obtain the relevant data to build the port paths in the OSS system.
  • Work with CPE and Telco Engineering teams to resolve discrepancies in the engineering designs.
  • Create change packages to proactively stage the specified changes in Maintenance Requests.
  • Implement Maintenance Requests and their specified changes into the OSS system.
  • Provide Port pathing support to NEMS, Mission Support, NOCC, Security and Operations.
  • Provide reports from OSS system and perform data mining duties.
  • Provide database admin duties to resolve issues within Metasolv database.
