Location: Onsite -4030 Esplanade Way, Tallahassee, FL (fully onsite, no remote)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET, 40 hours/week

Summary:

We are seeking an intermediate-level Network Engineer to support a state enterprise telecommunications system providing voice and data services. The engineer will work within the client''s engineering team, monitoring network performance, managing alerts and tickets, and implementing configurations to keep the network running optimally. This is a hands-on operations and engineering role requiring strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to stay composed during high-pressure events.

Job Description:

·         Monitor state network performance using SIEM and network monitoring tools

·         Manage alerts and tickets generated through monitoring tools and the NOC ticketing system

·         Implement configurations and adjustments to ensure optimal network and system functionality

·         Identify and report network/system issues to maximize performance

·         Provide timely status updates and reports to stakeholders

·         Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve voice and data network issues

·         Ensure the security of deployed applications

·         Produce technical documentation in standard project-team format

·         Support voice and data networking business initiatives

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent work experience

·         3–5 years of experience in telephony infrastructure, Voice over IP (VoIP) implementation, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking, and call center technologies

·         Advanced, professional-level experience working on network/system projects of medium-to-high complexity, including planning, configuration, and optimization

·         Ability to work as a project team member, occasionally as a team lead, and to coach junior staff when needed

·         Must pass a State of Florida criminal background screening (6-year lookback)
