Veterinary Technician - Emergency

Cary, North Carolina

Quartet Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Cary, NC is seeking experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians to help us grow our brand new Urgent Care. This new service marks phase one of a plan to elevate and expand the services at Quartet into a full 24/7 Emergency and Specialty hospital in the near future. This is a unique opportunity to join us at ground level and help shape the future of an already well-respected hospital.

Job Overview:

As an ER Technician, you must be prepared for anything, so someone who can work at a fast pace and think quickly on their feet is a must. You will be experienced and confident with IV catheter placement, triage and history taking, anesthesia monitoring, performing CPR, multitasking, venipuncture, and client communications. Most importantly, we want you to fit in well with our hospital culture and be committed to learning and growing your skills.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with some weekends and holidays required. You will have four 10-hour shifts per week.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) with previous veterinary emergency medicine experience highly preferred.
  • Values the importance of accountability, always acts in the best interest of the patient, and assumes positive intent when interacting with others.
  • Fear Free Certification and RECOVER Certification preferred.
  • Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow is a plus!
