Overview

May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy.

Provides technical support for the Bank’s data or voice network infrastructure. Installs, maintains, and configures network hardware and software. Resolves technical issues reported by users or system alerts. Responsible for network components, asset inventory, and capacity planning, including developing and documenting network device upgrades. Drives operational excellence and network efficiency, providing continuous service both through daily activities and through on-call rotation for after-hours support. Provides advanced technical support for data or voice network systems. Maintains devices, servers, and other related network components including IP address management, Domain Name Services, Bank communication applications, and others. Works with end users and vendors to resolve identified hardware and software issues. Responsible for administration, communication, and documentation throughout technical support activities. Maintains network hardware and software standards utilized across the team. Monitors and audits network to determine performance. Reviews system- generated events to identify, analyze, and resolve issues. Assists in threat mitigation and network security activities by researching code for security vulnerabilities. Works to continuously improve network capacity, operations, and infrastructure. Configures and installs new hardware and software as needed. Facilitates overall network capabilities. Maintains a strong knowledge base of network software, hardware, and related infrastructure. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendors, and end users. May assist with special technical projects. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $143,223 - $189,091 per year. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Position requires experience with computer hardware skills, including setup, troubleshooting, software installation, networking, upgrades, and documentation. Requires data analysis skills, including spreadsheet entry, import/export, pivot table, dashboards, reporting, sorting, and cleaning. Requires knowledge of wide-area network (WAN), virtual private network (VPN), and converged services. Requires knowledge of networking technologies and networking protocols including Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), information processes and technology (IPT), and voice over internet protocol (VOIP). Requires knowledge of Cisco and Cabletron hubs and routers. Requires knowledge of Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Electronic, Computer and Software Systems (ECS) and related security protocols. Requires knowledge of Token Ring, Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FIDDI), and FastEthernet. Requires excellent technical skills regarding network routing, switching and provisioning.
