Specific Skills needed for this position:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching technologies and network security
  • Design end to end network architectures of enterprise-scale network solutions
  • Install, configure and deploy enterprise-grade network hardware - switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
  • Manage routing and switching protocols and network segmentation
  • Design, implement and assist with maintaining firewall and security systems (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco enterprise-grade hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and work cross-functionally
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, Network+, or equivalent

Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong network design, architecture and implementation capabilities. This role will support the Capital Project Program and will be responsible for the developing scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions that align with the airport's operational and business requirements. This position will help manage an increased project workload related to network expansion and redesign, while ensuring reliability. performance and security of critical enterprise network services.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-level and low-level design documentation, diagrams and project plans
  • Evaluate new technologies and propose improvements to network performance and security
  • Provide escalation-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Work cross-functionally with Network Operations, Security and Applications teams
