Job description

LaSalle Network is hiring a Logistics Operations Associate for a global logistics company in Wood Dale, Illinois.
This is an ENTRY-LEVEL opportunity for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable working on a computer, and interested in learning a new industry. Previous air freight or logistics experience is a plus but not required. The team will train you on the processes and systems you need to know.
You'll work with a small operations team helping coordinate shipments moving through the company's air export operation.
What You'll Do
  • Enter and update shipment information
  • Help schedule freight with airline carriers
  • Track shipments and update arrival and departure information
  • Communicate with other company locations about shipments
  • Watch schedules, deadlines, and cargo cutoff times
  • Work with the warehouse team to keep shipments moving
  • Check shipment information for accuracy
  • Respond to emails and Teams messages throughout the day
  • Help resolve shipment changes or delays
  • Learn additional parts of the operation as you gain experience
