Prior experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft products, and virtual networks is required.

Experience working in a Citrix environment is a plus.

Description

The Network Operations Manger oversees the implementation and administration of the companyโ€™s network operations including servers, VMware, Citrix, network security, and day-today network operations. Ensures effective utilization of network management tools and applications to enhance system performance and limit downtime. Makes recommendations for purchases of hardware, software, servers, and wireless communications for current and future systems. Responsible for managing a team of network engineers, technicians and a Help Desk providing guidance and performance feedback. Operates the department within approved cost controls. This position has direct responsibility for employment decisions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

โ€ข Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organizationโ€™s network infrastructure, including servers, backup software, cloud services, maintenance renewal, routers, switches, load balancers, etc.

โ€ข Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to promote teamwork and professional growth.

โ€ข Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and rectify outages and other performance related issues.

โ€ข Ensure the organizationโ€™s overall security by working with the CTO to enforce best practices for firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, server, and network infrastructure hardening based on industry standards.

โ€ข Monitor network traffic and usage patterns to forecast future network capacity needs.

โ€ข Forecasting of budgetary requirements.

โ€ข Monitoring and reporting security events to the appropriate parties.

โ€ข Ensure the department follows documented policies and procedures.

โ€ข Monitor unified communications performance and ensure technology is kept current.

โ€ข Stay abreast of security concerns and vulnerabilities to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and information.
