Job description

Overview
Bowhead seeks an IT Project Manager to join our team supporting the program office for NSWC Corona - Corona Division in Norco, California. The Project Manager will work directly with the Program Manager and the client analyzing complex and unique physical plant and technical support assignments within a scaled agile environment.
This position is 100% onsite.
Corona Division is the Navy's premier independent assessment agent responsible for gauging the warfighting capability of Navy ships and aircraft by assessing weapons and integrated combat systems' performance, readiness, quality, and supportability. The project manager will support the technical infrastructure supporting Corona Division operations in the areas of IT operations.
Responsibilities
• Provide general project management support for all existing and new IT projects across the division
• Provide IT management advisory support to the Program Manager in support and execution of Corona Division IT requirements
• Develop project scope of work, plans, estimate and schedule
• Work with section leads to optimize local IT/network operations and support services, as well as telecommunications support services
• Work with Corona Division leadership to standardize and optimize the design and architecture of the IT and infrastructure
• Coordinate and oversee projects related to physical network infrastructure, including the installation of all cable types (i.e. Coax, fiber optic, etc.)
• Monitor and report on service desk operations, to include performance metrics and identifying areas of improvement
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Demonstrate exceptional writing and oral communication skills and ensure premier quality products and services are delivered
• Maintain, organize and update all program documentation as required
• Provide formal status reports to Navy and Bowhead leadership as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, information technology, computer science or related technical field of study and two to three (2-3) years of experience managing IT projects, reporting status of projects and the development of data analytics, OR
• High school degree, or a GED, and seven(7) years of experience managing IT projects, reporting status of projects and the development of data analytics
• Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently
• Strong foundation in project management principles who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic environment.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders
• Strong team player, interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team and work with company leadership
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification Required
• Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience working with DoW or other government environment
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management System
• Experience with Cisco and Windows/Linux Networks
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desired
• Relevant technical or management certifications a plus
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the minimum Secret level.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Targeted salary range is $105,000 to $150,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
