Capital Veterinary Specialists
Schedule: 4 - Ten hour shifts; every other weekend required
Jacksonville, Florida 
 
Capital Veterinary Specialists is looking for a Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
At Capital  Veterinary Specialists, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, you will have the support, tools, and resources to elevate your skills. About You
Summary- We are seeking an individual with strong emotional competencies; display positive attitudes, authenticity deliver exceptional customer service, and caring empathy toward others. Employee should have experience in customer service leadership, have a strong work ethic, and have a warm personality. Experience in a specialty and/or emergency setting is preferred.
 
Qualifications:
1. Educational:
· High school diploma
· Fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Oral);
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows platform, and email.
· Experience in team scheduling
2. Professional:
· 2-4 years of veterinary customer service experience
· Highly evolved written/communication skills
· Exceptionally organized with attention to detail
· Ability to adapt and work well in a busy environment
· Ability to lead a team of client service representatives
· Ensure all client and patient information is accurate, schedule appointments, and obtain appropriate signatures.
· Document all client correspondence. Extract and send requested information from the medical record when requested.
· Help create accurate, timely medical records by verifying charges, scanning paperwork, attaching medical records.
· Support service departments in various administrative needs including scanning, faxes, entering patient weights, contacting clients for paperwork and deposits
· Accurately process clients’ payments including cash, credit, check, scratch pay and Care Credit.
 
3. Physical:
· Must be able to be comfortable around all types of animals-primarily cats and dogs.
· Able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance.
 
4. What you will do:
· Professionally Greet clients and patients, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure that all clients questions and concerns are answered in friendly, kind, and informative manner
· Effectively communicate and collaborate with staff regarding patient care and client questions
· Document all communications and conversations
· Maintain communal areas such as lobby and exam rooms
· Perform administrative intake duties
· General administrative duties
· Manage appointment schedule
· Confirm upcoming appointments
· Exhibit a positive attitude while being courteous, professional, and kind.
· Foster enthusiasm, collaboration, and respectful team culture.
· Promote a positive environment for learning by training new team members.
· Ensure each client interaction is handled with care and efficiency
 
Working conditions:
In this environment, you may be exposed to the following, biohazardous substances, chemical hazards, unpleasant odors, loud noises, animal feces and emotionally stressful situations.
