Job Summary:
Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned engineering company with over 40 years of industry history. They are seeking a Senior IT/OT Network Engineer to design and maintain the network infrastructure for their North American operations, ensuring the security and reliability of their computer systems and networks while supporting corporate IT strategies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข WAN Administration, LAN Administration, Remote Access Administration and administration of regional network Internet, VPN, and Zero Trust configuration
โ€ข Establish and configure networks for organization-wide use
โ€ข Maintain reliable system performance by actively monitoring error logs and user-reported network issues
โ€ข Conduct regular tests to ensure that the system meets expectations for speed, security, and reliability
โ€ข Also work with technicians and administrators to conduct routine system audits, making recommendations to improve reliability and performance
โ€ข Develop and deploy performance-enhancing measures throughout the network
โ€ข Firewall policy creation, Switch management
โ€ข Manage decisions regarding network upgrades and repairs
โ€ข Understanding how different projects interlink and overlap to establish priorities
โ€ข Identifying opportunities for continual improvement
โ€ข Ensuring relevant standards, processes, and regulations are upheld
โ€ข Support the organizationโ€™s information security efforts, using best practices and procedures to protect data from intrusion, loss, and corruption

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree, Associateโ€™s degree in Computer Science or MIS, Industry Certification; or combination of education and experience
โ€ข Proven experience managing and troubleshooting large and complex networks
โ€ข Comprehensive knowledge of network administration, and related network hardware and software with Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, etc.
โ€ข Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switch programming (3 years)
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Visio & Project)
โ€ข Ability to multitask, adjust to change, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
โ€ข Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision
โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to end users both on-site and remote
โ€ข Must occasionally lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs
โ€ข Ability to travel up to 25%
