To excel as a Network Intern, a foundational understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and basic troubleshooting is essential, often supported by coursework in computer science or IT. Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, and knowledge of operating systems and basic scripting is typically expected, and certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA are advantageous.
