Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Network Communications professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support organization. This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.

Accomplish

Your duties include:

  • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.

  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

  • May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.

  • Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.

  • Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.

  • May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.

  • May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree and 5years of relevant Network Communications experience OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; or Master's of Science Degree and 3 years relevant Network Communications experience.

  • Must be willing and able to work a flexiblework schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, and 365 days a year.

  • Must be able to meet medical requirements and pass a physical for worldwide travel.

  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.

  • Must have the ability to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to90 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.

  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Security Plus (Sec+) Certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Must have the ability to complete training and receive initial qualification within 180 days and complete full qualification within 365 days as set out by department training team as a condition of maintaining employment

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Integrated Maintenance Data System.

    • Unix/Solaris Operating Systems and Principles.

    • Windows Server and Desktop versions.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
