Job description

Network Administrator
Location: Keyport, WA (On site)
Help Support Critical Naval Operations
Leidos is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport. In this role, you'll help maintain and secure the network infrastructure that supports the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Operations Center (UUVOC), contributing to mission critical systems that advance the U.S. Navy's undersea capabilities.
You'll work alongside a collaborative technical team to ensure reliable, secure, and high performing network operations while supporting both operational and research environments.
This opportunity is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. The position level and compensation will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications.
Program Timing: This position supports an upcoming proposal opportunity with an anticipated September start.
What You'll Do
As a Network Administrator, you will:
  • Administer, maintain, and secure Cisco based network infrastructure supporting mission operations.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure maximum availability and performance.
  • Support both operational and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network environments.
  • Perform system updates, patching, and configuration changes while maintaining accurate network documentation and diagrams.
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and quickly resolve outages to minimize operational impact.
  • Maintain compliance with DISA STIGs, Security Requirements Guides, and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support network security by implementing approved hardening standards and monitoring the security posture of network devices.
  • Assist with capacity planning, technology refresh initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Provide technical input for hardware replacement and procurement efforts.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ or 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ or 6+ years of experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.
  • Current DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Three or more years of experience administering and maintaining Cisco networking equipment.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments, including geographically dispersed networks.
  • Experience implementing secure network configurations and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
One or more of the following certifications is a plus:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
