The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico:
The Backup & Recovery Specialists ensure the resilience and continuity of an organization's Directory Management environment by managing comprehensive backup solutions, developing disaster recovery plans, and executing recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.
What You Will Do
  • Backup Management: Rubrik - Implementation, schedule, and monitor regular backups for Active Directory (AD), domain controllers, LDAP, and other Directory Management related systems.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning: Develop, document, and test detailed DR plans and procedures for Directory Management systems (AD, ARS, LDAP, VDS, VMWare, Entra...), including failover strategies and business continuity.
  • Restoration & Recovery: Perform data restoration from backups, troubleshooting issues with corrupted or lost AD objects (users, groups, GPOs) as well as other related applications.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct regular drills and testing to validate backup integrity and recovery processes, ensuring RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) targets are met.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security measures for backup data, manage encryption, and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate reports on backup success rates and system health.
  • Collaboration: Work with other IT teams (Network, Systems, Security) to integrate Directory Management backup solutions and support broader infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all backup, recovery, and DR configurations as well as procedures.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex issues related to Directory Management services, authentication, and recovery failures.
  • This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs.
  • Experience in enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Quest Recovery Manager for AD FE, Windows Bare Metal Backup, Rubrik, LDAP, VDS, ARS, GPO Admin).
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation.
  • Experience working with storage platforms (SAN/NAS, Object Storage) and virtualization (VMware, Cloud, Hyper-V).
  • Experience working with disaster recovery principles, business continuity, RTO/RPO.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Certifications Preferred (e.g., MCSE, Azure Fundamentals, Entra Identity, Security, CompTIA).
