Job description

Relay is the Intelligent System of Action for the physical economy. While the digital revolution has often left the deskless workforce behind, we are closing that gap by transforming analog frontline operations into a data-rich, AI-powered ecosystem. We aren't just selling radios, we're building the digital foundation for the 80% of the global workforce that doesn't work at a desk.

Why Join Relay?

  • A Proven Winner: Join a hyper-growth company trusted by over 10% of the Fortune 500, continuing to move upmarket with massive impact.
  • High Value, High Impact: With 47% of our revenue from $100K+ ARR customers and 135% Net Revenue Retention (NRR), you'll be joining a company rooted in value creation.
  • Market-Leading Innovation: The Relay platform captures 1 billion new data points weekly and features award-winning AI tools like TeamTranslate, with 500% YoY growth.
  • World-Class Leadership: Our stellar leadership team is built to help us scale toward our next major milestones.

Now, here's what we're building, and where you come in.

About the Role

We're looking for a Finance Systems Administrator to join our IT & Security organization as the dedicated technical owner of our NetSuite environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT & Security, you'll be the go-to person for everything NetSuite - from day-to-day administration and customization to building and maintaining integrations with the broader systems Relay runs on. Finance and Accounting are your primary internal customers, but this is squarely an IT role: you're the technical expert who supports Finance, not a member of the Finance team.

This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy position. You'll work closely with an internal engineer resource who owns the internal tooling layer that feeds into NetSuite. Longer term, this role is positioned to grow into technical ownership of the full Finance application portfolio at Relay. If you're someone who wants to own a critical platform, drive meaningful automation, and be a genuine partner to a fast-moving Finance team, this is the role for you.

About the Team

The IT & Security team at Relay is a small, high-impact group responsible for the systems, tools, and infrastructure that keep Relay running. We manage a broad technology stack - from identity and device management to SaaS administration and enterprise automation - and we operate as true partners to the business, not just a support function. We move fast, build thoughtfully, and take pride in running a tight, well-integrated environment. This role sits at the intersection of IT and Finance, with real visibility across the company and direct access to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and own the NetSuite environment end-to-end - including configuration, role-based access control, licensing, release management, and ongoing system health
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between NetSuite and internal and external systems using REST and SOAP (SuiteTalk) APIs and enterprise automation platforms including Zapier Enterprise
  • Develop and deploy SuiteScript 2.x customizations, SuiteFlow workflows, custom records, and SuiteApps to meet evolving business requirements
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to proactively identify manual processes, workflow inefficiencies, and integration gaps - and drive automation improvements across the tools they rely on
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Finance/Accounting and IT, providing escalation-level support and owning root cause analysis and resolution
  • Build and maintain SuiteAnalytics reports, dashboards, and KPIs that enable Finance self-service and support data-driven decision making
  • Evaluate and champion NetSuite's native AI and machine learning features - assessing fit, leading pilots, and driving adoption with Finance stakeholders
  • Translate Finance and Operations business requirements into clean technical specifications and scalable system solutions
  • Maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration maps, runbooks, and end-user guides
  • Contribute to broader IT automation initiatives across the organization as cycles allow
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration, development, or platform ownership experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong proficiency in SuiteScript 2.x (client/server scripts, map/reduce, RESTlets) and SuiteFlow workflow automation
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining API-based integrations - REST, SOAP/SuiteTalk, and webhooks - between NetSuite and external systems
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise automation or iPaaS platform - Zapier Enterprise, Celigo, Boomi, Workato, or similar
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite's data model across core modules, including GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, and Procurement
  • Comfortable working independently and making platform-level decisions without day-to-day oversight
  • Strong communication skills - equally effective reviewing a SuiteScript error log and presenting a recommendation to Finance leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted ERP features and experience evaluating or deploying them in a production environment
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Familiarity with adjacent IT platforms such as Okta, HubSpot, or Box, and how they intersect with ERP and Finance workflows
  • Broad familiarity with the Finance application ecosystem beyond ERP - expense management, FP&A tools, procurement, and financial reporting
What success and impact looks like in this role

In the near term, success looks like Finance and Accounting having a trusted technical partner they can rely on - someone who understands their workflows, responds quickly, and solves problems cleanly. NetSuite is stable, well-documented, and moving through major releases without disruption. Integrations are reliable and maintained, and the IT team has clear visibility into the integration landscape.

Over time, success looks like a Finance team that is meaningfully less dependent on manual processes - because this person has identified the friction points and automated them. The NetSuite environment is not just administered, it's continuously improving: better workflows, smarter reporting, and thoughtful adoption of AI capabilities where they add real value. And as the role matures, this person is growing into a broader technical owner of the Finance application stack, with the trust of both IT and Finance leadership to make good platform decisions independently.
