Job description

We are seeking a high-impact Sr. Business Systems Software Engineer to join our team. This role is a strategic partner for Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. You will lead the administration, customization, and optimization of NetSuite and other financial systems across multiple process areas, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the finance technology stack.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and support scalable, end-to-end technical solutions that align with complex business requirements (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Optimization, Supply Chain Management, MRP, WMS, Multi-book multi-currency, advanced revenue accounting).
  • Identify opportunities for automation using AI, enhanced reporting, and/or system improvements to drive efficiency and scalability, and lead the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new system features, upgrades, and third-party integrations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across accounting, finance, procurement, and supply chain for analyzing and re-designing legacy integrations, workflows and scripts to improve performance, scalability, and user experience and/or to align with new business requirements.
  • Hands-on Development: Build, test, and deploy customizations using SuiteScript 2.x (Client, User Event, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, and Suitelet).
  • Integrations: Lead the integration of NetSuite with 3rd party platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Shopify, Boomi, or MuleSoft) using Rest API.
  • Optimization: Perform regular system audits to identify bottlenecks and optimize script performance and governance.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert, providing documentation, code reviews, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of dedicated NetSuite development and architecture
  • Recent experience with custom development using SuiteScript.
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification is a plus.
  • Experience working for a public company with a strong knowledge of IT related controls required for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • SuiteCloud Mastery: Deep expertise in SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder.
  • Web-Technologies: Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, and XML. Experience with HTML/CSS for Advanced PDF/HTML templates.
  • Database Skills: Strong understanding of relational databases and SuiteQL.
  • Platform Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of NetSuite ERP, CRM, and OneWorld environments.
