Job description

Position Overview

Vision IT is seeking a Systems Engineer, Senior – Identity Management (IdAM) to support the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca, AZ. In this role, you will provide engineering, integration, configuration management, and operational support for Identity and Access Management (IdAM) systems supporting the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN), including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces environments.

This position plays a critical role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Army IdAM capabilities to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant enterprise operations across mission-critical networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support configuration management activities, testing, and technical implementation of Army IdAM systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to provide planning, design, development, integration, and sustainment support for IdAM capabilities.
  • Support efficient and effective IdAM service management processes by maintaining accurate configuration information and records.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of configuration items (CIs), including versions, baselines, constituent components, attributes, and relationships.
  • Coordinate, review, and maintain system documentation and guidance for administrators utilizing IdAM capabilities.
  • Support operational organizations with Requests for Change (RFCs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliance activities.
  • Identify, control, record, report, audit, and verify services and configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic planning, execution, and management for the design, build, deployment, and optimization of IdAM systems integrated into Army enterprise environments.
  • Design, build, test, and optimize IdAM hardware systems, computer components, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support enterprise integration efforts across NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Joint, and testing environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve system administration and operational efficiency.
Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related systems engineering and Identity Management experience.
Certifications
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III Certification required.
  • Appropriate Computing Environment (CE) Certification required.
Clearance
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility required.
