NEWS Wrecker Saleseman

NETC Fleet Services

Job description

New England Wrecker Sales is hiring a Wrecker Sales Representative to own our New England territory. You will sell heavy-, medium-, and light-duty wreckers and carriers — on the NRC product line — to towing companies, fleets, and municipalities across New England and beyond. We are growing quickly and supported by a full operating ecosystem of towing, service, and transportation companies. This is not a one-truck-at-a-time job. We expect a representative who can carry a real number, close sales, and grow the territory.
About NEWS and the NETC Family
NETC Fleet Services operates multiple commercial truck, towing, and transportation brands across New England, including New England Truck Center (NETC), Interstate Towing, Matt Brown's Truck Repair (MBTR), Ray's Truck Service, and New England Wrecker Sales (NEWS). The next person in this seat works alongside operators who tow, recover, build, and service heavy equipment every day. That depth is your competitive advantage — and we expect you to use it.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
The expectations below define the job. Read them carefully before applying. Each item describes what is expected and what success looks like. We will measure performance against these standards.
1.  Sales Production: Own the full sales funnel across the assigned territory — prospecting, qualification, quoting, negotiation, and close. Generate new sales while expanding wallet share with existing accounts.
2.  Product Mastery — NRC and Supporting Equipment: Build deep technical command of the NRC product line and supporting equipment (winches, hydraulics, body builds, lighting, chassis compatibility). Stay current as the product evolves.
3.  Customer Relationships: Own the customer relationship from first call through delivery and aftercare. Maintain an account contact cadence whether or not there is an active deal in front of you.
4.  Pipeline and CRM Discipline: Every prospect, quote, conversation, and next action logged in CRM. Any NEWS team member can login and know status of sales & builds.
5.  Pricing and Margin Discipline: Quote within established pricing and margin gates. Escalate exceptions to leadership before committing to the customer. Defend pricing — we are not the lowest-cost option and we do not pretend to be.
6.  Industry Presence and Intelligence: Represent NEWS at industry trade shows, regional events, and customer-facing events. Stay current on competitor product, pricing, and positioning. Active relationships with industry partners, OEM reps, and fleet decision-makers.
7.  NETC Ecosystem Cross-Sell and Internal Collaboration: Leverage the broader NETC family of businesses for referrals, technical support, and cross-sell opportunities. Build relationships with service shop, dispatch, and operations teammates as partners.
8.  Reporting and Communication Cadence: Weekly pipeline review with leadership. Monthly business review. Quarterly territory plan refresh. Direct, honest, on time.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated B2B capital-equipment sales success — heavy truck, fleet equipment, towing or recovery equipment, or directly adjacent industries
  • Working knowledge of commercial truck chassis and towing or recovery equipment
  • Comfort operating in $100K–$1.5M+ deal sizes with multi-month sales cycles
  • CRM discipline and clean forecasting habits
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel the territory
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Existing relationships in the New England towing, recovery, or commercial fleet community
  • Prior experience with NRC, Jerr-Dan, Miller Industries (Century, Vulcan, Holmes), or similar wrecker product
  • Active industry network — TRAA, state towing associations, fleet directors, owner-operators
  • DOT, FMCSA, and FET familiarity
  • CDL (not required, but a strong plus)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base salary draw plus commission structure, with company vehicle, fuel card, phone, laptop, and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k). Real upside for the right operator — we are growing and we pay for production.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply online or email resume to sallen@netruckcenter.com. Confidentiality respected for active candidates currently in seat elsewhere.
NETC Fleet Services is an equal opportunity employer.
