Job description

Diesel Road Service Technician โ€” $120Kโ€“$140K+ Earning Potential โ€” NETC Fleet Services

Want to know what you can really make turning wrenches? Here's the honest number: our base pay is $35โ€“$40/hr on a standard 50-hour week, and commissions add on top of that. Techs who show up ready to work clear $120,000โ€“$140,000+ a year โ€” and the hardest workers go higher. This isn't a "potential" gimmick. The commission scales with what you produce, and the work is there.

NETC Fleet Services is hiring a Diesel Road Service Technician to handle roadside emergency repairs and diagnostics on trucks, trailers, motor coaches, and heavy equipment. We're one of New England's fastest-growing names in towing, recovery, and commercial truck service, and our road service techs are the ones who get a stranded operator back on the road. It's demanding work, it pays like it, and there's room to grow with a company that's growing fast.

This is a work-hard seat. Standard 50-hour week, weekend availability required, on-call rotation. If you want to coast, this isn't it. If you want to earn, keep reading.

What you'll do:

  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, service, and diagnostics on diesel vehicles and equipment
  • Handle brake work, electrical work, and tire removal/installation
  • Perform engine and powertrain repairs
  • Run advanced troubleshooting, plus AC and emission system work
  • Source parts when they're not in inventory
  • Test-drive trucks, trailers, and equipment as needed
  • Process customer payments and handle issues swiftly, calmly, and professionally
  • Communicate constantly with dispatch, the parts counter, and management
  • Submit documentation, receipts, and invoices promptly
  • Keep your assigned truck clean, presentable, and washed during downtime
  • Report truck problems to management immediately and follow safety and accident procedures

What we're looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED, plus diesel engine repair training/certification
  • Advanced knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, and vehicle mechanisms
  • Proficiency with diesel diagnostic software
  • A valid driver's license and current DOT Medical Card
  • Comfort with mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Sharp problem-solving, attention to detail, and solid communication skills

What we offer:

  • Base pay $35โ€“$40/hr on a standard 50-hour week
  • Commission is typicalย โ€” realistic total earnings of $120-$140K+ for techs who put in the work
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Life and disability coverage
  • AFLAC plans
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • A growing company where skilled techs move up

If you've got the skills, the work ethic, and you want your paycheck to reflect both, we want to talk to you. Apply today and earn what you're worth.

Job Type: Full-time ยท Work Location: In person
