Job description

Our client, located in Weldon Springs, MO, is currently in need of a NetApp Engineer for a 1 year contract. The consultant will work onsite in support of NetApp storage operations, upgrades and reporting. The environment consists of NetApp AFF, FSxN, DII and Workload Factory.
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current code levels and perform upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure host compatibility with ONTAP versions prior to ONTAP upgrades
  • Perform day to day allocation/cleanup/troubleshooting activities
  • Monitor NetApp arrays for capacity concerns and propose/implement solutions
  • Open support cases with vendor and act as POC for support issues.
  • Upgrades and configures both DII and Workload Factory. DII is critical to FSxN monitoring, alerting, and capacity management
  • Works with SRE to develop the Golden Signals dashboard
  • Develops required reports and dashboard to monitor and report on configuration drift
  • Provides input and direction on alerting thresholds and configuration items.
  • Troubleshooting FSxN performance issues.
  • Performance upgrades to DII and Workload Factory
  • Developing Cost Savings Dashboard for AWS/FSxN

Required Skills:
  • Ability to work 100% onsite
  • Experience with NetApp AFF, OnTap, FSxN and Data Infrastructure Insights
  • Ability to work as the onsite SME for Data OnTap and FSxN
  • Data Infrastructure Insights and Workload Factory NetApp reporting
  • Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
