Location: Remote (United States)
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $38/hr
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT professional to support System Administration and System Integration for a migration project. In this role, the candidate will provide specialized support in the identification, evaluation, and documentation of computing system requirements. This position involves building, modifying, troubleshooting, and testing delivery systems and components as part of a long-term contract engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system administration for standard and non-standard computing operating systems.
  • Manage user computing system accounts and handle directory administration.
  • Implement configuration change requests and new requirements.
  • Develop scripts for automation (Shell, PERL, Python, BASH, or similar).
  • Conduct integration, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and components.
  • Test specific software upgrades and participate in project meetings.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Linux system administration, specifically Red Hat version 9.x.
  • Proficiency in HPUX operating systems.
  • Shell scripting experience.
  • Background in client/server architecture, storage, networking, and information security concepts.
  • Experience with System Configuration Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).

Professional Skills:
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver solutions for technical challenges.
  • Written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the flexibility to work across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Red Hat Clustering.
