Position Summary
Our factory in Dunkirk, located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, is a hidden gem situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With its picturesque Great Lakes waterfront, beautiful beaches, ski resorts, vineyards, and boutique wineries, our associates take great pride in calling Dunkirk their home. Since its establishment in 1971, the factory has undergone several expansions to accommodate the growing production of beloved household brands such as Pro Plan®, Beggin®, T-Bonz®, and Busy®.
As a Factory Quality Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining quality standards during the development of cat and dog food product. You'll work in various areas and functions of the plant to ensure operators are performing the appropriate sanitation activities and quality checks per company policy and procedures. With safety as our core value and quality as the promise that we make on every bag, container, tub, and can, we take immense pride in producing the products that pets love and people can trust-join us in delivering on our promise.
  • Oversee process to ensure products produced in the factory adhere to the standards of quality and food safety.
  • Lead operational support and improvement activities for the quality stream including but not limited to QA checks, problem solving, project implementation, and standard creation, revision, and implementation.
  • Environmental testing in Dry Pet and Specialty Pet areas. Enter results, initiate and follow-up with corrective actions.
  • Lead and support the hold management process, status control and final disposition. Conduct sampling and testing of hold product.
  • Support the factory's laboratories with equipment upkeep, calibration, internal control plans, and training.
  • Maintain QA programs including but not limited to Quality Collaboratives, References and Proficiency samples.
  • Computer work and data entry

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years of quality assurance in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment

  • Must be open to overnight shift and weekend work

The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000 - 59,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
