Summary
Under the direction of the Beverage Manager, the Beverage Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an accurate and efficient inventory of all beverage related products that supply the Beverage Department venues and bars. The Beverage Control Supervisor plays a key role in ordering, stocking, tracking and creating and sustaining par levels. The BC Supervisor also oversees preventative maintenance on all bar equipment, inspections and health and safety.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate and efficient inventory control of the Beverage Department.
- Trains, monitors and assists Beverage Control Clerk employees with daily beverage receiving and requisitioning.
- Ensures all beverage inventory is purchased, received, rotated, stored and issued in accordance with operational standards and processes to ensure cost and quality goals are met.
- Ensures the safety and security of all employees working in beverage storage areas by ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
- Monitors inventory on a daily basis to ensure adequate supplies are on hand at all times to meet projected needs based upon established par levels.
- Performs weekly inventory on high end product and end of the month inventory.
- Maintains all equipment, to include but not limited to pallet jacks, beverage carts, portable bars and EZ bar equipment (measured pouring system).
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage and assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of beverage inventory control experience or any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required.
- One (1) year of Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
