What is a Ned?

NEDs, or Non-Executive Directors, are members of a company’s board of directors who are not part of the company’s executive management team. Their main role is to provide independent oversight, strategic guidance, and objective judgment in the interests of shareholders and stakeholders. NEDs do not engage in the day-to-day management of the organization but are involved in decision-making at the board level, helping to ensure effective governance and accountability. They often bring external expertise and a diverse perspective to the board, which can enhance the company’s performance and reputation.
