Job description


SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an Electrical Manager I and II in our Energy Storage group that will be responsible for providing electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project.
This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical electrical support
  • Identify qualified electrical contractors and engineers and maintain list of areas of their expertise and geographical limits
  • Review system studies performed by engineer of record, ensuring conformance with contract documents
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
  • Provide onsite support to electrical team
  • Provide electrical design and installation support to on-site staff

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience
  • Master electrician preferred
  • Proficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledge
  • Specialized knowledge/experience in an area of electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.
  • Knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Electrical Manager I
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum eight years electrical construction management and/or electrical design experience
  • Minimum one-year experience with project completion from mobilization to turnover
  • The base pay range for this role is $125,600- $188,400

Electrical Manager II
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of eight years electrical construction management and/or electrical design experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience with project completion from mobilization to turnover
  • The base pay range for this role is $144,300- $216,500

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
