Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years of design/build electrical construction experience.
  • Proficient in estimating means and methods. Proficient in Accubid or similar estimating software is highly preferred
  • Ability to produce and update a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed
  • Ability to understand and organize an electrical estimate
  • Ability to provide project cost projections
  • Understand OSHA requirements on electrical projects
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Applicants must be willing to work directly on-site and have the willingness to travel nationally.

Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and maintain Monthly/Bi-weekly Cost Reports (Profit Projections and Work in Process (WIP)
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and venders
  • Coordinate with General Superintendent on project manpower requirements
  • Prepare and maintain Schedule of Values and Pay Applications throughout the Project duration
  • Build and implement project schedules
  • Create and maintain Change Orders and Logs
  • Oversee and plan each Electrical Project with GC from pre-construction through turnover on all projects
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple commercial projects at the same time and work in conjunction with the field superintendent and their daily operations to ensure that they are complete, on time, and under budget
  • Oversee and manage daily project coordination
  • Approve invoices for Vendor Payment
  • Respond to issues for ongoing project(s) RFIs (request for information) in a timely manner
  • Review addendums and changes for building purposes
  • Keep and maintain communications between company and GCs, subcontractors and owner/developers throughout the building process


Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
