Position Information
Job Title Assistant Athletic Director-Student Athlete Development Nature of Work
Responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of comprehensive student-athlete programming that supports academic success, personal development, and the overall student-athlete experience. This position provides guidance and education on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) in alignment with NCAA regulations and serves as a liaison between athletics and admissions to coordinate prospective student-athlete visits. Emphasis is placed on fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and holistic development while enhancing recruitment and retention efforts. Effectively leads the marketing, communication, and registration of all athletic camps, ensuring strong promotion and participation.

Essential Duties:
Student Athlete Programming
Develop, oversee and coordinate student-athlete study halls and academic support initiatives in collaboration with campus academic services.
Builds strong partnerships that enhance resources and support systems for student-athletes. Demonstrates a commitment to academic success by promoting accountability, structure, and a positive learning environment.
Develop and facilitate student-athlete development programming, focusing on leadership, life skills, and personal growth. Also coordinate with career services to establish internship and experiential learning opportunities.
Creates engaging opportunities that prepare student-athletes for success beyond their athletic careers. Demonstrates a strong commitment to holistic development by fostering confidence, accountability, and character.
Provide training, information, and resources for Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL to student-athletes in conjunction with the Athletic Director. Be familiar with the NCAA NIL regulations to ensure compliance with regulations as they continue to evolve.
Act as a liaison between Admissions and Athletics in coordinating prospective student-athlete campus visits and recruitment experiences. Ensures visits are well-organized, informative, and reflective of the institution's values and opportunities. Plays a key role in creating positive first impressions that support recruitment and enrollment goals.
Camps
Act as Athletics Camp Coordinator including the following:
Develop marketing material and promotional strategies to attract camp participants, including flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns.
Manage camp registration process, including online registration systems, payment, processing, and communication with camp participant and their families.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to camp staff (student workers and coaches), ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality instruction and supervision to camp participants. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to review camp policies.
Compliance Support
Coordinates and monitors CARA hours with Associate Athletic Director and Coaches to ensure full compliance with institutional and NCAA regulations.
Maintains accurate records and communicates expectations clearly with coaches and staff.
Demonstrates attention to detail and accountability in supporting a culture of compliance within the athletics department.

Community/Special Events
Collaborate with the Athletic Director with the solicitation and development of corporate partnerships to strengthen external support for the athletics department.
Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing attendance for external athletic events by ensuring events are well-organized and fan focused.
Assist in the collaboration with alumni and community members to plan and implement engagement events that promote Eagle Athletics.
Demonstrates strong relationship-building skills that help expand support and involvement with alumni and community members across the region.
Continues to create meaningful connections that enhance the visibility and impact of Chadron State athletics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Athletic, Coaching, or Administrative experience
