Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Case Management position at a large academic medical center, requiring active inpatient case management experience and proficiency with Epic.

Details
  • Day shift position, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week
  • Inpatient case management unit within a large academic hospital (500+ bed facility)
  • Adult Medicine/Surgery patient population
  • No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR and post-acute referral platforms such as NaviHealth or Allscripts
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current, active inpatient case management experience required
  • Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ licensed beds) required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Experience with post-acute facility referral platforms (e.g., NaviHealth, Allscripts) required
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Coordinates care for a caseload of adult patients from triage through discharge, including safe transition to home or post-acute settings such as nursing facilities, acute inpatient rehab, and local shelters
  • Proactively communicates with payors to ensure approval of treatment plans and required resources
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families to support effective and efficient transition planning
  • Maintains patient information in all departmental systems per operational guidelines
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
