Part-Time Online Computer Science Instructor About the job Part-Time Online Computer Science Instructor Aquinas International Academy (AIA) is a globally recognized online school serving students worldwide. Position: Part-Time Online AP Computer Science A Instructor We are seeking passionate and experienced content area specialists to join our faculty as part-time online instructors. Responsibility: Utilize teaching materials and course content on the Edmentum Online Platform to deliver high quality and comprehensive lessons. Evaluate and grade a portion of students' homework on the Edmentum Online Platform, and track students homework progress on Edmentum.

Edmentum automatically grades standardized responses, e.g. MCQ, fill-in-the-blank, etc. Teachers need to grade non-standardized answers, e.g.

discussion, short response, etc. Class Schedule: Need to be available to teach during the following time (Eastern Time): Weekdays: 6:00am - 11:00 am Required Qualifications: A minimum of Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area; Master or higher degree is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area; high school teaching experience is preferred.

Able to offer 2-3 available time slots during weekdays. Proven experience teaching online using diverse strategies, tools, and resources Strong content expertise in one or more subject areas Experience working with international students Familiarity with online platforms, such as Google Meet , and Edmentum Flexible schedule and availability across time zones Creative, collaborative, and innovative teaching style Preferred Qualifications: State/national teaching certification or online teaching certification Degree from or graduate studies at a top program in your field 5 years of teaching or professional content expertise Advanced Placement (AP) teaching experience ESL certification Compensation: Teaching: $30 -$ 35 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience Grading responsibilities will be involved and compensated separately For 1-On-1 Class: 5% of total teaching hours For Group Class: 10% of total teaching hours Aquinas International Academy is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
