Peak Utility Infrastructure is an integrated engineering and construction company that serves the Electric, Natural Gas, and Telecommunications industries.  We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services, including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through our operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers, Superior Pipeline Services, Superior Hydrovac and 5Star Electric.

Position Title: National Accounts Manager – Data Center

Essential Functions:

The National Accounts Manager – Data Center Markets is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center customers across North America. This role will drive revenue growth by positioning Superior Hydrovac as the preferred hydro excavation partner for data center development, utility installation, underground infrastructure protection, and mission-critical construction projects.

The National Accounts Manager – Data Center serves as the primary liaison between key customers and Superior Hydrovac operations, ensuring consistent service delivery, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction across multiple markets. This position requires a strong understanding of the data center construction ecosystem, including developers, general contractors, utility providers, engineering firms, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute a national growth strategy focused on hyperscale and colocation data center markets.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities with data center developers, owners, operators, engineering firms, and general contractors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including construction directors, procurement teams, project executives, utility managers, and site development leaders.
  • Pursue Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and preferred vendor status with strategic customers.
  • Collaborate with regional operations teams to expand service penetration across existing and emerging data center markets.

National Account Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned national data center accounts.
  • Coordinate service delivery across multiple geographic regions and project sites.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess project performance, customer satisfaction, and future opportunities.
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met regarding safety, responsiveness, quality, and project execution.
  • Act as the escalation point for account-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

Market Expansion & Industry Engagement

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders throughout the data center construction ecosystem, including:
    • Hyperscale operators (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Oracle, etc.)
    • Colocation providers
    • General contractors
    • Civil contractors
    • Engineering and consulting firms
    • Utility companies
  • Represent Superior Hydrovac at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and association meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of upcoming data center developments, infrastructure investments, and market trends.

Contract Management & Negotiation

  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and national account agreements.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams on contract reviews and risk management.
  • Manage contract renewals and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Develop scalable pricing structures that support long-term account growth and profitability.

Internal Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations Managers, Branch Managers, and Regional Leadership to ensure successful project execution.
  • Communicate customer expectations, project requirements, and growth opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Support branch-level sales initiatives by leveraging national account relationships.
  • Partner with marketing and leadership teams to strengthen Superior Hydrovac’s position within the data center industry.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting within CRM platforms.
  • Track key account metrics including revenue, profitability, customer retention, and project volume.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular updates on account performance, market opportunities, and competitive intelligence.

    Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

    • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
    • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
