The Opportunity
As a Technology Consulting - Geographic Information Systems Intern, you will engage with clients to provide innovative solutions using Esri Mapping Software and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. Within our Advisory practice, you will support teams in delivering specialized technology solutions that optimize operations and drive growth for businesses. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with industry experts, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that shape the future of business application consulting.
As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams by participating in projects, performing basic tasks, and conducting research. This role emphasizes the importance of adopting a learning mindset, actively listening, and applying professional standards. You will have the opportunity to observe and contribute to the success of the team, while also developing your personal brand.

Responsibilities
- Supporting teams in delivering geographic information system (GIS) solutions to clients
- Participating in projects to gain exposure to Esri Mapping Software and GIS applications
- Assisting in the conversion and analysis of geographic data for various platforms
- Observing and learning from experienced consultants to understand GIS architecture
- Engaging in basic tasks and research to contribute to project goals
- Applying a learning mindset to develop skills in GIS technologies and methodologies
- Collaborating with team members to optimize operations and drive growth through technology solutions
- Gathering information from diverse sources to analyze spatial and geographic data
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Geographic Information Science, Engineering, Geography, Natural Resource Management, Engineering, Spatial Data Science and Visualisation
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Preferred major GPA: 3.3
- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes
- Utilizing Esri Mapping Software for geographic data analysis
- Applying Geographic Information System (GIS) Applications in project tasks
