Job description

Overview VTG is hiring for a H1 CETS Engineering Technician at McGuire, NJ. What will you do? The H1 CETS Technician position requires highly qualified personnel capable of performing advanced-level aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and system support in direct replacement of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) personnel.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of rotary-wing aircraft systems and possess the ability to operate independently in high-tempo operational environments. Do you have what it takes? Minimum Requirements: Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on aviation maintenance experience, specifically supporting rotary-wing platforms.

Proven experience performing organizational and/or intermediate-level maintenance. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in full aircraft systems, including but not limited to avionics, electrical, hydraulic, flight controls, and propulsion systems. Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective actions using technical data and schematics.

Experience utilizing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), wiring diagrams, and maintenance instruction manuals. Platform Experience: H1 platform experience (AH-1Z and/or UH-1Y) strongly preferred. 4-blade system experience (rotor/drive systems) highly desired and considered a significant advantage.

Certifications & Qualifications: Relevant military qualifications/designations or equivalent civilian certifications. Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) experience is highly desirable. Active or ability to obtain required security clearance.

Operational Capability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while supporting fleet readiness and mission requirements. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with squadron personnel, NATEC, and program leadership. Proven ability to operate in deployed or expeditionary environments.

Preferred (Value-Added) Qualifications: Prior experience directly supporting OEM, FST, or NATEC-level efforts. Background in technical assist requests (TARs), engineering investigations, or ELAR documentation. * Demonstrated ability to provide on-the-job training (OJT) and mentorship to fleet personnel.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay is $36.38/hpurly which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
