About the Opportunity:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAE Stress Analyst with expertise in metallic structural analysis to support the design and certification of avionics enclosures and related aerospace hardware. The successful candidate will perform detailed structural analysis using FEMAP and NX Nastran, focusing on static strength, modal behavior, and compliance with FAA and aerospace structural requirements. This is a critical role supporting both product development and flight certification across a variety of aerospace platforms.Salary Range:$80 - $90 / hourQualifications and Experience:Required:Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.8+ years of structural analysis experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on metallic structures.Expert-level proficiency in FEMAP and NX Nastran.Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, material behavior, and joint design for metallic enclosures.Familiarity with FAA regulations (FAR Part 25) or equivalent military/aerospace structural requirements.Proven experience preparing clear, comprehensive analysis documentation and substantiation reports.Preferred:Master's degree or advanced coursework in structural mechanics.Background in avionics or electronics packaging for aerospace platforms.Experience with vibration and shock analysis for electronics.Familiarity with scripting (FEMAP API) to automate modeling or post-processing.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform linear static and modal structural analyses on metallic avionics enclosures, brackets, mounting hardware, and associated aerospace components.Develop and maintain high-fidelity finite element models in FEMAP, using NX Nastran as the primary solver.Analyze structures for strength, stiffness, and vibration performance under operational, crash, and limit load conditions in accordance with 14 CFR Part 25 or military/aerospace standards.Calculate margins of safety and provide structural substantiation in support of FAA or customer certification.Evaluate bolted joints, fastener interfaces, machined housings, and sheet metal structures.Prepare and present detailed stress reports, technical memos, and certification documentation for internal and customer review.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement initiatives for modeling efficiency and simulation accuracy.Skills and Abilities:Ability to quickly understand and learn new technologiesAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to understand and learn professional terminologyResponsible, responsive, and accountable for tasksOther Requirements:Complies with all organizational policies and proceduresMaintains strict confidentiality of all customers and/or employee information to assure customer and/or employee rights are protectedAdheres to policies regarding notification of absence and PTO requestsAttends all mandatory management and staff meetingsRepresents the organization in a respectful and professional mannerAdheres to dress code, appearance is neat and cleanSubject to background checkAdditional Information:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
