Description Of Services
  • The Structural Engineer will perform a variety of structural engineering tasks under minimal direction to support the design, analysis, and test of missile and launch vehicle systems.
  • Duties include generating safety factors for stress, stiffness, buckling, bolted joints, and fracture, and using fundamentals of structural mechanics to guide design engineers on preliminary and final designs.
  • This role requires working in a team environment to address structural integrity issues, learning and applying structural analysis software (FEMAP, NX NASTRAN, MathCAD), and determining appropriate test levels for flight structure qualification.
  • The ideal candidate will interpret technical data, produce engineering documentation, and apply specifications and customer requirements to accomplish project goals in a fast-paced setting.

Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience -- (Required)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance -- (Required)
  • Strong structural analysis background with demonstrated work experience -- (Required)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications -- (Required)
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis and structural mechanics -- (Required)
  • Computer skills with standard word processing/spreadsheet experience -- (Required)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen -- (Required)
  • Experience with FEMAP, NX NASTRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS -- (Preferred)
