Job description

The University of Virginia is a highly competitive Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence, placing a priority on creating an exceptional experience for student-athletes at UVA. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Quality Control Coach, Football to support the UVA Football program and Football student-athletes.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist with advance opponent scouting report
  • Assist with breakdown of opponents
    • Responsible for the offensive formation and play breakdown component of opponent scout
  • Post-practice data input
  • Post-game data input
  • Assist QB's Coach with position group individual
  • Manage and maintain "Ball In Jeopardy" chart for the QB position (ball-security)
  • Lead offensive signaler on gameday
  • Responsible for offensive signals catalog
  • Assist with Visio drawings for the pass game
  • Oversee master sheet of play call tendencies
  • Manage weekly opponent "ready list"
  • Assist Offensive Coordinator with production of gameday call sheet
    • Ensure each full-time staff member receives a laminated copy
  • Assist Offensive Coordinator & QB's Coach with production of gameday QB wristband
  • Manage weekly post-game offensive drive summary chart

Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4+ years') related experience
Experience; Some working knowledge of the sport program to be supported
Licensure: None
About the Position
The salary range is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will not consider candidates who require immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
This position is located on the UVA Grounds in Charlottesville, VA. This is an exempt-level, benefited position; learn more about UVA Benefits . This is an in person position.
