Job description

Position Summary  

As part of Mainframe Automation, this position will be part of a team focused on accelerating the design and performance of our development of automation, integration into platforms (Envision X, AIR, Sidekick), and architectural design of multiple platforms: Automation Point, OPS/MVS, and zOSMF.  

Key Areas of Focus for this Role  

  • Utilize system knowledge and project management skills to design automation for different platforms 

  • Engineering solutions to bridge tool capabilities with business requirements for a superior client experience 

  • Identify and design solutions that reduce or eliminate the need for human intervention, enabling our teams to focus on problem management tasks by automating corrective steps in response to specific alert types. 

  • Deliver solutions using agile development methodology 

  • Assess and analyze the performance of the existing tools to identify gaps and opportunities to ensure proactive detection of issues before they become availability-impacting incidents.

Required Qualifications 

  • BS Degree in computer science or related field and 10 years' development experience is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $85,000 to $148,000 salary, based on a fulltime schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
