Job Description:
Computer Operator - Mainframe / AS400
Position Summary
  • The Computer Operator - Mainframe/AS400 performs centralized IT operations services within the Information Technology function at Customer.
  • The position is responsible for monitoring and operating the company's mainframe and IBM iSeries (AS400) environments, executing scheduled batch and job scheduler workloads, and ensuring that plant-supporting jobs complete on time and are communicated accurately to the business.
  • Computer Operators work a rotating shift schedule that provides 24x7 coverage of Customer's core production systems, partnering closely with internal IT teams and external support partners to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the shift and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24x7 operations rotation.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment, tape media, or printer supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • Limited travel may be required (less than 10%) to other customer locations.

Mandatory Skills: Oracle Apps Technical.
Experience: 3-5 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
