Fundraising Development Coordinator (New York) 
Location: New York, with regular travel 
Type: Full-time

Now, we’re seeking a purpose-driven Fundraising Development Coordinator to help us expand our presence nationwide, connect with donors, and amplify the voices of those we serve. 
 
Your Role:
As our Fundraising Development Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, mobilizing donors, engaging communities, and driving campaigns that make real-world impact. You’ll build relationships with individuals, masjids, schools, and organizations that support our national fundraising goals while embodying the values that define us. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with donors, volunteers, organizations and the public in the region.  
  • Plan and implement regional fundraising strategies to expand our donor base. 
  • Build relationships with masjids, schools, and Islamic centers across the country 
  • Plan, organize and facilitate fundraising activities such as events, conventions, dinners, etc. 
  • Deliver community talks including public fundraising appeals 
  • Recruit and manage local and national volunteers.  
  • Track donor engagement using CRM tools. 
  • Support key campaigns such as Ramadan, Qurbani, Emergency Relief, etc. 
  • Prepare and submit event plan and post event reports 
  • Provide reports on outreach metrics, donor trends, and opportunities for growth 
  • Preform other duties as assigned  
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required  
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills 
  • Must be able to interact effectively in community spaces and faith-based settings 
  • Strong communication  
  • Have experience in fundraising, community organizing, or nonprofit outreach 
  • Understand the U.S. Muslim landscape and be deeply connected to your local community 
  • Are highly organized, responsive, and committed to deadlines 
  • Can manage remote work effectively and travel when needed (for major events or campaigns) 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally  
  • Are legally authorized to work in the U.S. 
 
Bonus if you:
  • Have experience delivering public talks 
  • Are bilingual (Arabic, Urdu, or other widely spoken community languages) 
  • Have prior experience in donor stewardship, CRM software, or volunteer management
