Job SummaryThe Video Editor for the LA Galaxy will create high-quality, timely video content that brings the club, players, supporters and Los Angeles soccer culture to life across digital, social, broadcast, in-stadium and partnership platforms. The role is primarily responsible for post-production of short-form and long-form content, including match coverage, features, branded content, documentary storytelling, promotional campaigns and recurring series. The incumbent will collaborate with producers, videographers, designers and internal stakeholders; organize and manage media; maintain brand and technical standards; and support production needs at select home matches, training sessions, studio shoots and special events. Additionally, this position will help conceptualize and execute creative motion graphics for visual communications including in-stadium videoboards and LED displays along with digital content for websites, social media, and video-based advertising for the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park. Essential Functions
  • Partners with the internal video team and key stakeholders during the planning and pre-production process to understand creative objectives, storytelling approach, deliverables and timelines, then edits and delivers a wide variety of short- and long-form video content across social, digital, broadcast, marketing and in-stadium platforms.
  • Builds compelling stories from raw footage by selecting strong moments, shaping narrative structure, pacing edits, sourcing music and sound design, and completing color correction and audio mixing.
  • Supports video production needs by capturing supplemental footage at training sessions, matches, studio shoots, special events and other scheduled productions. Contributes to camera operation, lighting, audio capture and interviews as needed to support the post-production and storytelling needs of the internal video team.
  • Supports live and rapid-turnaround workflows for home matches, away matches and special events, including same-day edits, footage pulls, broadcast requests and delivery of multiple aspect ratios and specifications.
  • Collaborates with Design, Digital, Video Production, Photo (Creative Services), and Game Presentation teams to develop motion graphics for LA Galaxy and DHSP videoboards and LED boards, including matchup assets, player animations, goal and win animations, and other in-stadium visuals.
  • Oversees the design, creation, and implementation of graphics, animations, and subtitling to ensure alignment with LA Galaxy brand standards established by Creative Services and Brand Marketing.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) In Video Production, Media Production or a related area.
  • 2-4 years In a videographer and content editing role.
  • 2-4 years Industry specific experience is preferred.
  • Experience with a professional sports team is a plus.
  • Must have an excellent proficiency of non-linear software (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Premier) as well as a mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proactive, highly organized, and resourceful with great attention to details.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workload efficiently and quickly.
  • Proactive and have the ability to work independently without the need for supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight timelines, and work effectively in a high pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be creative, idea-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team-based environment.
  • Must be technically proficient with MS Office.
  • Efficient and skilled in Adobe After Effects, ensuring smooth, timely, and accurate execution of motion-based deliverables.
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, etc.
  • Ability to carry and maneuverer equipment efficiently of 40 lbs. or more.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
Payscale: $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
