About The Position

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a fun and professional General Manager to help administer our music school, The Musicians Woodshed in Lake Travis, TX. The General Manager will lead and steward the school by translating Ensemble's vision into disciplined execution at the local level, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial performance, an exceptional student and staff experience, and sustainable enrollment growth within a safe and nurturing environment. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self-starter with a strong customer service mindset. A demonstrated interest in Music and Music Education would be an asset.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and execute the annual school operating plan, enrollment strategy, and key priorities
  • Own school-level financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, receivables, expense management, and contribution margin targets
  • Lead, coach, and retain teachers and administrative staff, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and professional growth
  • Ensure exceptional student and family experience across all touchpoints, including enrollment, communication, events, and retention
  • Drive enrollment growth through local marketing, promotions, community partnerships, and referral strategies
  • Implement retention systems to mitigate withdrawals and support long-term student engagement
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader and decision-maker, balancing daily execution with long-term school health
  • Act as the cultural leader of the school, fostering a positive, professional, and collaborative environment
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and Shared Services, ensuring alignment, communication, and execution
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained facility, including oversight of safety protocols and risk management

Required Availability

  • 10am-6:30pm Monday through Friday(on-site), 30-minute unpaid lunch break included
  • Weekends as needed, based on school events

      Compensation & Benefits
      We offer health benefits to all of our employees working at least 30 hours per week, and a 401(k) with company matching to all employees regardless of schedule. Salary is based on experience and between the range of $42,000-$47,000 per year plus 5% profit share.
