Description

Position Summary: Grounds Crew is a part-time position employed by Music Event Management Incorporated (MEMI) with a flexible schedule and a wide variety of available hours. Grounds Crew facilitates the day-to-day property upkeep of Riverbend Music Center and employees will work in small teams to maintain the property pre and post show. We are seeking hardworking, determined people who work well in a group setting and display skills of proactivity.  


 Reports to: Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Managers  


Responsibilities:   

  • Empty, clean, and move all trash cans and waste receptacles 
  • Use provided hands-free equipment to clean and sanitize restrooms across Riverbend property, including restrooms on the western end of the property 
  • Replace toilet paper and paper towels in restrooms 
  • Clean and pressure wash seated areas, often with a fire-hose 
  • Move necessary facility equipment including, but not limited to, temporary barricade, lounge furniture, beach umbrellas, tables and chairs 
  • Set up VIP chairs in box seat areas according to specific instructions 
  • Sweep, pick up, and dispose of scattered debris on the venue lawn, blacktop, within the seated areas, across all venue parking lots, walking areas and within the newly expanded Riverbend Music Center Property
  • Perform various landscaping duties such as trimming bushes, weekly grass mowing and tending to flower beds across all of Riverbend Music Center property
  • Detail clean any necessary surfaces with chemical cleaner 
  • Operate a pressure washer to deep clean surfaces 
  • Complete work orders for minor restroom repairs 
  • Various painting projects 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and efficient time management skills 
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions, especially heat and rain, for a majority of an 8-hour shift 
  • Understanding and willingness to work around events including weekends and some holidays 
  • Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift 
  • Capability to lift up to 40lbs 
  • Willingness to perform tasks on a 6-8ft ladder 
  • Ability to work in a small group of up to 4 people 

Available Shifts: 

  • Seasonal Position ; Shifts available starting 6 weeks prior to first event and ending 30 days after last event. 
  • Start Times: 6am - 10am, schedule based on needs of shows 
  • Duration: 8 hours 

Pay: starting at $15/hr
