Senior Profile Developer – Retail Banking Technology
Location: Hybrid – 2 days a week – Vienna, VA
 
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Profile Developer to join our Retail Bank Technology division. This role involves the design, development, and testing of software solutions with a strong emphasis on system architecture and integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MUMPS, Profile
Scripting Language (PSL), and SQL, as well as a strong background in banking software systems. The candidate is expected to lead technical projects, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural best practices.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Collaborate with the Development Team Leader and business stakeholders to clarify and refine project requirements.
•    Lead and manage development tasks, user stories, and team activities in coordination with the Development Team Leader.
•    Drive team improvements and proactively identify technical or process enhancements.
 
•    Develop detailed technical specifications based on business and functional requirements.
•    Write clean, reliable, and well-documented code in MUMPS, PSL, and SQL.
•    Ensure code meets security, stability, and confidentiality standards in line with Client’s policies.
•    Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
•    Track development issues and resolutions using tools such as JIRA.
•    Support junior developers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
 
Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
•    Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing on the Profile application using MUMPS and PSL.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in developing banking software, including financial product and reporting systems.
•    Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects and managing technical teams.
•    Minimum 2 years of experience in system design and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    4+ years of experience developing Windows-based desktop and server applications.
•    3+ years of experience with Profile Scripting Language (PSL).
•    3+ years working in an Agile development environment.
