We are seeking a Graphic Design and Multimedia Specialist who is proficient in the use of generative artificial intelligence tools to help us further our mission and achieve our business goals.


As the Graphic Design and Multimedia Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping WECCโ€™s messaging, by creating professionally designed assets that reflect our mission and engage both internal and external stakeholders.


Time spent traveling is expected to be a minimum of 15% for this role, though business needs may require additional travel on occasion.


You willโ€”
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop a comprehensive suite of high-quality visual assets for digital and print media (brochures, presentations, graphics, social media visuals, infographics, videos, and other branded materials), to amplify WECCโ€™s mission and Long-term Strategy.
  • Work closely with the strategic engagement team to develop and maintain brand identity and ensure that all assets represent WECCโ€™s voice, critical work, culture, and are portrayed in a professional, effective, and visually appealing fashion.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to increase the reach and impact of WECCโ€™s work and to create workflows to improve quality, personalization, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of assets and templates in Canva and Adobe that follow the WECC branding and writing style guides.
  • Develop high-impact graphs, tables, and other data-driven graphic designs for board meetings and executive-level presentations.
  • Create and edit video content, motion graphics, animations, and multimedia presentations.
  • Produce visual storytelling assets for the website, social media, company intranet, and internal and external communications projects.
  • Manage photography, image editing, audio enhancements, video post-production, and strong experience editing webinars and podcasts.
  • Partner with the external affairs and training and outreach teams to organize and maintain all WECC digital assets and libraries.
  • Manage file preparation for production, publishing, and distribution.
  • Ensure deliverables meet technical specifications for various platforms (website, intranet, social media, presentations, etc.).
Requirements:You will enjoy this role if youโ€”
  • Hold a bachelorโ€™s degree in graphic design, multimedia, or visual communications, or have an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Have a minimum of three yearsโ€™ professional experience leading graphic design and multimedia communications, preferably with a technical or regulated organization, and demonstrable experience leveraging generative AI design tools.
  • Are highly creative and technically skilled at developing compelling visual content across digital, print, and video platforms.
  • Have strong expertise in design fundamentals, multimedia production, and demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into creative workflows to improve speed, quality, personalization, and innovation.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, etc.).
  • Have a strong portfolio demonstrating digital, print, and multimedia work.
  • Have experience working across multiple departments and with senior management.
  • Are highly skilled in understanding and translating highly technical content and data into visually appealing design assets for diverse audiences, including stakeholders, board members, and the public.
  • Have a solid understanding of brand guidelines, style guides, and AP style and customized writing styles.
  • Are proactive, creative, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Bring a commitment to delivering high-quality, influential communications assets, and enjoy collaborating and working within a team environment.
  • Are current on trending AI tools for professional, creative graphic design and multimedia projects, and have experience evaluating emerging AI graphic design and multimedia tools.
  • Have strong experience incorporating AI design tools to accelerate project design, content generation, video editing, graphic design/creation, and other asset creation.
  • Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency using PCs, including a working knowledge of common applications such as those in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understand and adhere to sound principles of cybersecurity, including protecting sensitive information, using secure passwords, and following organizational cybersecurity protocols.

Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $62,000โ€“$72,900 + discretionary pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will share more details during the hiring process.
