About this role
Responsible creating rich media content, including multimedia, video textual, photographic, motion graphics, slide show and animation to enhance the College's image and communications effectiveness on social media, web, and other digital media platforms. Provides photo and video coverage for major College events and communication initiatives.
What a day of a Video and Motion Graphics Specialist looks like:
  • Produces short and long-format videos, animations, motion graphics, multimedia, computer-based graphics, digital images, and audio recording projects to support college marketing multimedia endeavors.
  • Shoots, edits and captions videos and photographs for major College events, records and assembles footage. Assists with archiving video and photographic data and materials.
  • Collaborates with marketing staff and other departments to identify and select photos, editorial, video, and other assets to create coordinated content for various media platforms. Ensures brand integrity and maintains the highest standards of quality for college marketing communications.
  • Develops communication campaigns to publicize College's programs and events. Writes clear, engaging content on college programs and services for use in a variety of media, including print, broadcast and online.
  • Gathers and generates content for digital news including newsletters, social media, and websites.
  • Creates and produces appropriate images and videos for easy uploading and fast regeneration on the college web site and other digital media.
  • Maintains aesthetic standards and ensures the College has a consistent appearance that is in keeping with the created marketing identity program.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends to make technical recommendations and incorporate new ideas and strategies.
  • Performs video and audio production as required. Videos and audiotape live college events and programs and provide post-production editing of final recordings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree within specific subject area related to the position
  • Four years of related experience
  • Experience with digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera, video cameras and equipment
  • Proficient in motion graphics, color correction, color grading, and video and audio editing

Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
  • Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection or similar to include Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Graphic and video image editing software
  • Go-Pro equipment and teleprompter
  • Social media marketing
  • Photography for marketing purposes
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application

Skilled in:
  • Motion graphics and AE template design
  • Video equipment, lighting, audio gear, editing software, and AI generative tools
  • Digital photo re-sizing and manipulation
  • Set-up and operate multimedia equipment
  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management

Ability to:
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
