Job description

Location: Wichita, KS
This is an in-person position based on our Wichita campus.
Job Purpose
The Graphic Designer thinks creatively and will develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts for various visual communication media. The Graphic Designer follows creative guidelines to prepare and present artwork in a team atmosphere, and completes proposed changes and edits to produce finished artwork of high quality for print and digital reproduction.
Duties & Responsibilities
? Adheres to company polices and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
? Create initial design approaches and finished layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
? Confer with Creative Director and other employees to collaborate on creative design projects in the spirit of Team1BG™.
? Work closely with marketing content and other teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
? Prepare rough drafts of assignments, discussing them with internal clients or supervisors and making suggested changes.
? Review proposed layout changes with Art Director and suggest improvements as needed.
? Use imaging software to edit, retouch and composite digital photographs.
? Maintain archive of finished project files, including research, layouts, images, support information and previous artwork according to department best practices.
? Prepare clear instructions for vendors who preflight and produce final layouts for printing or digital reproduction.
? Utilize project management system to track, organize and share information with creative team.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field required. Experience in lieu of professional training will be considered.
? 1-2 years of graphic design experience preferred.
? Be able to demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio of work.
? Adobe Creative Suite expert (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), and other web/graphic design tools, including popular audio and video editing software or motion graphic required.
? Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web content management systems, preferred.
